ORIGAMI ARCHIVES 4

PICTORIAL RECORD OF PAST ORIGAMI ACTIVIES IN SINGAPORE

1) EXHIBITION AT BUKIT MERAH LIBRARY (8TH - 12TH SEPTEMBER 1986)

This is another one of our major exhibition. This time there were 6 of us to share the load, Francis Ow, Chan Yew Meng, Walter Tan, Paul Ee, Sanny Ang and myself.

We were very grateful to the lady in charge of the library for giving us this chance.

It was in this exhibition we discover an ugly side of Singaporeans. I guess some of our models are too complex and intricate to be believed. I said this as later we were to discover some of our models missing and to find them outside the library and the surrounding area of the library including on the floor and tables of the coffeeshops. I suppose there are visitors who could not believe some of the models were folded as we found the models unfolded and thrown on the floor.

Some origami models on display at the exhibition.

No prize for guessing who made these.
