ORIGAMI ARCHIVES 2
PICTORIAL RECORD OF PAST ORIGAMI ACTIVIES IN SINGAPORE
1) EXHIBITION AT KINOKUNIYA BOOKSTORE (8TH & 15TH DECEMBER 1985)
After our (Francis
Ow and myself) first origami exhibition at Tiong Bahru Community Centre.
we met a lot of others with the same interest, namely, Paul Ee, Chan Yew
Meng, Sanny Ang and Walter Tan. Together we held our next demonstration
at Kinokuniya bookstore.
We came to know the
manager of Kinokuniya bookstore after ordering several origami books through
him and introducing him the publishers where origami books can be purchased.
He would additional copies of books we ordered and others which we did
not.
We got to know the
manager of Kinokuniya's stationery section and through her, we ordered
origami paper and strongly urged her to bring in various origami paper
which was rather scare at that time.

Our models on display at the window together
with books from Kinokuniya. Note the beautiful golden dragon on the right
of the picture. This is the best Chinese dragon I have even seen and was
created by Sanny Ang. |
