ORIGAMI ARCHIVES 1

PICTORIAL RECORD OF PAST ORIGAMI ACTIVIES IN SINGAPORE

1) TIONG BAHRU EXHIBITION (3RD AUGUST 1985 - 4TH AUGUST 1985)

My first exhibition with Francis Ow where we meet some of the others which is to become part of our lives and origami activities.

I am sorry if the pictures look bad. After all, they were taken in 1985.

The exhibition hall where we put up our models.
You guess it!

These are put up by Francis Ow.

These are put up by me. The first picture shows the various animal models.

The second picture shows some charts which I put up for information showing the various basic bases and the models which was derived from it.

This picture shows the demonstration and teaching session which was very well attended. As noted, almost everyone of them are children. Adults tend to stay in the sidelines and feign disinterest and occasionally coming in to help the children, probably being too afraid of being accused of being childish.

It is too bad that Sebastian is no longer actively folding.

Sebastian is probably the first in Singapore to have published his creations in print.

For those with Robert Harbin's series of "The Art of Origami", Sebastian's creations are documented within.
