Chan Yew Meng has been very active with regard
to community activities in the area where he resides. He is well regarded
in his area and has been requested to organise many origami activities
as part of community activities.
This is one of them. Security was very tight as none other than the Prime Minister himself is opening the Braddell Heights Community Club. We were also limited to the number of people who can participate in this activity. Besides myself and Yew Meng, Kum Seng and Choy participated. Choy gave away Pikachus. As usual, there are people who wants one for every member of their household. I waited till the end before I gave away over 20
Tomoko boxes of different shapes and sizes. When I started to give away
pink Kawasaki roses (20 of them), I started a stampede! What took me nearly
2 weeks (evenings) to fold, disappeared in less than 30 seconds.

This is our table in the hall. Main themes are
dinosaur skeleton, Kawasaki roses, Star Wars characters and ships, Tomoko
boxes, Pikachus.
Originally we were told that we will only be given 2 tables and about 15 minutes to set up, so this does restrict what we can bring and put up. We need to have some space to demonstrate as well. At the far end of the table is Chan Yew Meng, next
is Choy.
